Beaded Ornaments

Today, Lauren and I and John's niece, Sara, made these cute beaded ornaments from the latest Martha Stewart Living magazine. They were very easy, and they're even prettier than they look in the pictures!

Houses of Hope

In March, Kathy, Pam and Debbie took a class from Mary Huey called "Houses of Hope". I got the quilt top finished this week. It didn't take too long to finish - once you sat at the machine, and we learned some new and useful techniques.

Canning Night

We all gathered at Debbie's in July to make Cherry Jam. It was a hot night but 20 pounds of cherries later, we had JAM!!

This wasn't the most successful project, but it should go on our record. We made concrete containers. They live up to their name in that they are concrete and they do contain; they just aren't very charming!

I don't want Debbie to make me look like a slacker! I've been busy, too.

Here is the door wreath I made for spring.

Wire Works

These are the items we made from the "Wire Works" book, using wire and beads.

And lastly, this is the project I started with Kathy and Pam last month. Mary Huey taught this class and we had a ball!

This is the quilt I started last summer!

Debbie's Projects

Here is what I have been working on.
These are the Xmas placemates I finished - in February!

Boo Boo Bunnies

Why is it that some of our best projects are the ones that someone pulls out of a bag 10 minutes before we're ready to finish up for the day?! Joan provided materials for these boo-boo bunnies at our February 17th get-together. Made from a washcloth, they hold a small re-freeze-able ice cube.

Wine Cork Art

Our projects for Saturday morning, February 17th, were wine-related crafts. Karen and Debbie made cork trivets (thanks to the detailed directions provided by our guest artist, Dan Clarke, of San Francisco!) Kathy and Pam made bulletin boards. Also shown - Karen's wine stoppers, made from cork stoppers purchased at a craft store and decorative drawer pulls from Home Depot. And, most importantly, Joan provided us with a wonderful breakfast and lots of ideas for future projects. Many thanks also to CJ for his trips to pick up the wine corks from the bar!

This is the mosaic tray that Eva made. Has anyone else in the group actually finished the mosaic project?? If so, please post a picture here!

Fleece Mittens

These are the fleece mittens that we made. Some people were over-achievers, and made a matching scarf!

Duct Tape Roses

A beautiful boquet of roses, made from Duct Tape!
